We are a caring and supportive church community who are encouraging faith, learning together, trying out new things and making social opportunities day by day.
We have a 10:30 am service every Sunday and on the first Sunday of the month we also have a service at 6:00 pm.
We do not currently have a Sunday School but do have Jammy Church on the third Sunday in the month from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in our church hall. Jammy Church starts with having breakfast together before hearing a Bible story and singing Worship Songs, then exploring the story through crafts and creative activities. This time of Church is perfect for families, but open to anyone who likes to explore things creatively. All are Welcome. Please can all Children remember to bring an Adult with them.
On other weeks there is a family area at the rear of church with tables and activities, toys, books etc for the children to use.
Baptism, Weddings & Funerals
We would welcome the opportunity to have a conversation about the Baptism (sometimes called Christening) of your child(ren), or perhaps about the hosting of a Service of Thanksgiving following the birth of your child. Have a chat with our Minister John to talk this through.
We are registered to conduct the Weddings of members and non-members alike. In line with the Methodist understanding of marriage, both opposite sex couples and same sex couples can be married at Hedge End Methodist Church. If you have been married before and have gone through a divorce, it is still possible to be married in our Church. Have a chat with our Minister John to talk this through.
Funerals are things we don't like to think about however they are a worrying necessity for families at a time when they are feeling at their most emotionally fragile. We can help. Contact our Minister John, or ask your Funeral Director to do so, if you would like the Funeral Service or a Service of Thanksgiving to be held at Hedge End Methodist Church.
