I was born in Chester but raised just along the coast in Flint, North Wales. I was educated through the medium of Welsh which explains why I am dreadful at Scrabble! I am married to Christine, I like to cook, read, watch films and I particularly enjoy watching football.
Following a career in the Civil Service and Local Government – where I was active in the Trade Union movement – I trained for the Methodist Ministry at the Queen's Foundation in Birmingham. I started my Ministerial career in Bridlington on the East Yorkshire Coast before moving to the Bangor & Holyhead Circuit, where I also worked as a member of the University Chaplaincy Team, before arriving in Southampton in the summer of 2021.
