A Circuit Service led by Rev Stephen Robinson was held on the evening of Sunday 23rd July at St James Road Methodist Church. During the service Sandra Elkin was admitted as a Local Preacher in the Methodist Church by Rev John Hughes, Circuit Superintendent who also presented a Bible to Sandra as a gift from the Circuit.
A letter from the President and Vice President of Conference was read out by Christine Hughes the Local Preachers Secretary and the warm hand of welcome was offered to Sandra by John and Christine.
The congregation agreed to support Sandra with their prayers and faithfully share in the worship she leads and receive through her the word of God.
The service concluded with the hymn We have a gospel to proclaim.
