Vacancy for Children & Families Worker at St James Road Methodist Church

The Circuit have a vacancy for a Children and Families Worker at St James Road Methodist Church in Shirley.

Salary £9,068 – £9,674 per annum, dependent on qualification and experience
16 hours per week
This post currently has funding for 3 years

Are you an enthusiastic Christian who is able and willing to share faith and to present a strong Christian witness?

If you are, then you are just the sort of person we are looking for in order to develop our children and families work.

We need a spiritually mature and prayerful person with the enthusiasm, passion and vision for the development of the Church's work with children, young people and families and expand all aspects of this work. The postholder will be employed by the Circuit but will be working at St James Road Methodist Church (St James Road, Shirley, Southampton, SO15 5HE).

Recent experience of working with children and/or families in a voluntary or paid capacity is essential. The successful applicant will need to be able to work as part of a team with the Minister and volunteers at the Church.

There is an Occupational Requirement that the post holder should be a Christian under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1. A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from DBS required.
